Ornamental Fish International (OFI) and Shanghai Ocean University (SHOU) are proud to announce their launch of International Ornamental Fish Symposium 2022 to be held November 26-27th, 2022 online.
The symposium is to celebrate the 110th anniversary of Shanghai Ocean University (SHOU), and is the first of a planned webinar series on the International Ornamental Fish Industry. This event is focused on The Status and Future of the Aquarium Fish Industry and will examine some of the major challenges that the industry is facing, the impact of COVID and some future trends and innovations in the industry. OFI President and SHOU Visiting Professor, Mr Shane Willis said that “This is a great opportunity to engage with our members around the world as well as, fostering relationships with students and academics around the world. While the past COVID years have been very challenging in a number of ways but demand for aquarium fish has grown and the future looks good for the industry”
Participants at IOSF22 will hear from international experts and industry leaders on some of the latest trends, market information and technology in the aquarium industry. It is suited for academics and researchers, fisheries departments and personnel, industry professionals, and hobbyists alike.
