Every now and again we come across a fish that stands out as something a bit special, and this was the case with this stunning juvenile Tigerpyge Angel that we were lucky enough to photograph at Finest Aquatics today. A rare cross between Centropyge flavissima and C. eibli, such individuals can be quite variable in appearance and some unfortunately don’t retain the vivid colours in captivity. That can’t be said for this individual though which is still showing strong colours after several weeks in the trade. Still just a juvenile, this fish definitely has potential and whoever can afford the circa £700 price tag is sure to enjoy seeing this little gem mature into a truly special fish over the coming months and years.
